Athirappilly Falls in Kerala , is one of the largest waterfalls in Kerala , with a hight of over 80 ft. The fall are known for their force and power, with the water crashing onto the ground with a roar.

The falla are located in the western Ghats , 1,000 ft above sea level on the Chalakudy Ri9ver, at the entrance top the Sholayar ranges. The falls are surrounded by dence forests and are a popular picnic sprot.

The falls are home to many species of flora and fauna , including endemic hornbills and other migratory and endemic birds.

The falls are concidered sacred by indigenous tribe like the Malayarayan, Kadar, and Muthivan, who have lived there for centuries . The falls also mentioned in local folklore and ancient texts.

Periyar National Park is famous for its wildlife and home to a variety of species, including elephant, tigers, leopards, sambar deer, barking deer, wild boar, and a veriety of birds species.

Eravikulam National Park , spread over 97 sq km , is a green paradicse which is home to rare flora , fauna and wildlife . However , the biggest attraction of the park is Nilgiri Tahr (Nilgiritragus hylocrius) an endanered species of mountain goat.

Silent Valley , apart from being a veritable treasure trove of flora and fauna , is also home to one of the oldest and last stretches of tropical evergreen rainforest.

Cicadas , the  insects that produce an incessant noise characteristic of any forest, are absent here.

Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple is renowned for its beauty and grandeur. Dedicated to Lord Vishnu, it is one of the 108 sacred Vishnu temples or ‘Divya Deshams’ in India.

The St. Fransis Church , well -known for its beautiful architecture and ambience, is believed to be one of the oldest churches built by the europeans in India.                                                                                        The church’s history dates back to 1503. It owes its origin to the Portuguese Franciscan Friars, Who reached  Kochi  along with Pedro Alvarez Cabral.

 Sree Vadakkumnathan Temple is according to people local lore , this is the first temple built by Parashurama, the sixth avatar of Vishnu.

Thekkinkadu Maidan , encircling the Vqadakkumnsthsn Temple , is the main venue of the renowned Thrissur Pooram festival.

Sree Thirunelli Mahavishnu Temple ( also called Thirunelli ) is an ancient temple dedicated to Maha Vishnu on the side of Brahmagiri hill in Kerala , India near the border with Karnataka state. The temple is classified one among the 108 Abhimana Kshethram of Vishnavate tradition.

Hill Palace Museum, Thripunithura located about 10 kms from Kochi, the Hill Palace Museum was the official residence of the Kochi rulers in 17th century.

Today it is famous as a full-fledged ethno-

archaeological museum and as Kerala’s first ever heritage museum.
